@burtiess,

hello, I'm the author of the fleet_maintenance module, which is being used in
production by http://www.anevia.com for more than 6 months now, they testimony
here in French:
http://www.erp-infos.com/info_article/m/709/anevia-deploie-openerp-en-moins-de-trois-mois.html

So yes, it works for real.
Actually there is one thing we would like to re-factor:
we would like to split in two the concept of RMA and the concept of fleets
maintenance which are currently both in the module. I already extracted the RMA
concept for an other customer, but with no time yet to publish it as a generic
reusable module.

Recently I just had a talk with Fabien Pinckaers about that. Our goal is to
refactor that RMA module in such a way that it can be seamlessly integrated
with the mrp_repair module (a return of marchandise, can be tuned into a repair
in one click). Not sure when we can publish such a refactored module though
(but probably before 2010).

After that step, an other step would be to refactor the fleet_maintenance
module in order to use the RMA from that pure RMA module. Not sure I will spend
that time if Anevia or anywone else doesn't fund it though.

As usually, paid support is speeding things up, so if you need that work to be
done in a given timeframe or any customization, feel free to contact the new
company I just set up Akretion.

Meanwhile, do not hesitate for any specific question about the module here.

Finally, Anevia had a 10 pages functionnal specification for me to code that
module. Alexis de Lattre from Anevia, was very keen in removing the Anevia
specifics from that spec in order to join it to the module in order to document
it. Again, it was a matter of time to do it, but I'm sure we can work it out.
I'm also quite sure I'll make some screencast in order to showcase better the
module just as others I made.
That's unfortunate, but my former employer Smile.fr wouldn't let me dedicate
any time for such community work as they tend to incentive no better than
regular consulting companies. Luckily, now I'm deciding for my time and since I
know how open source work, I'll certainly do all that.

Waiting for your questions/suggestions.
