I have written this before but think it is worth repeating here: "Going forward, my suggestion for developement would be to allow defining in the product template which fields are specific for product template and hence the same for all variants and which fields should be defined on a level of product variants and hence hold different values from variant to variant."
Is anyone else interested in such a solution?
