I can think of taking a backup of database and then straight away restoring on linux box. You can take database backup in pgAdminIII through UI (i think the procedure is called pgdump or something like that)
One other thing is that I believe the versions of OpenERP install should be same. Once database is restored there should not be any additional step. You can launch openerp and you will the database there.
