Hi everybody:

First time I read the Fabien's post on his blog, I felt sad and a little bit
frightened about openerp and future. After reading all your comments on this
post I feel better. I think Fabien has taken an important decision and it will
revert for sure on benefits for community and of course, tiny itself.

In our side, we have been fighting by our way trying OpenERP to be known in
spain and trying to break the wall of company ceo's ignorance about open Source
and even ERPs.

At the beginning on 2009, we had some localization modules. At the end 2009, we
had a really mature localization project thanks to Pexego, Nan and Zikzakmedia,
so I think for almost of us has been the beginning of the wave. We started up a
few customers in 2009 and I hope we will go on with a few more during next
months.

So now... we are ready to invest money on "Fabien's" shop(I'm speaking by
myself and companies that I collaborate with). Before, we could only
collaborate, offering some working hours to community just because our
financial muscle was not enough to afford annual parnetship price and we were
trying to survive owrselves.
Begining is hard and most time it's not because you don't want but because you
can't.

I would like to give my opinion about some improvements on partnership contract
1.- I think not only money should be taken in mind to going up on partnership
level.

2.- I think there should be some kind of exam or certification by each
functional and technical area (I wouldn't mind at all paying for that..) like
Oracle or even Microsoft does. That means that the person but not the company
could have certification of knowledge in OpenERP. Even if a person assists to
an openerp learning course, it doesn't mean that the person knows more than
another that learnt by himself during months. So I think exams are the way to
give every people opportunity of certifying their knowledge.

3. I think tiny should think about how to deal with not english spoken partners
or collaborators and for sure, about how to manage maintenance contracts with
different Openerp localization projects around the world. I think it's not
possible for tiny offering support to all different localization so to expand
OpenERP would be necesary thinking about some kind of shared maintenance
contract between tiny and partners or partners and final customer. This would
also apply to Saas. Offering saas in a country means including localization
modules on that Saas. So... who mantains? I think modules need not only to be
technically certified but also functionally.

4. I think Tiny should think about offering "official" trainings in different
languages. There should be partners in each country not only to pay the
partnership and expect reciving a course or something from tiny but a real
partnership where each company should have a part of responsability on
trainings, localization, maintenance, programming and so on. Difficult. But I'm
sure it should be possible to manage.

So...I think we all have a lot of work to do during next months and I expect...
 years.

Thank you very much:

Ana
