We currently use Zen Cart, but have effectively forked the project due to the
very bespoke way we use the application. In Zen Cart, products are 'virtual'
insofar as they are comprised of a number of product options which can be
defined by the customer. We need to integrate Zen Cart with a new OpenERP
installation.

I've read about the numerous BoM options etc but am still unclear how best to
export these orders from Zen Cart to OpenERP sales orders. In OpenERP, I'd
need to have a sale order, which would contain a number of products, e.g.
Hamper_1, Hamper_2 etc. Each of Hamper_1, Hamper_2 would in turn contain a
number of products, e.g. 1 x prod_1, 4 x prod_2 etc. We need to track stock at
the prod_N level, but report on sales as the Hamper_N level. The products are
sold at a fixed price for any one of Hamper_N, but the stock of Hamper_N
doesn't matter; what does matter is the sock of prod_N. I'm not sure how best
to model this in OpenERP.

All I can think of is to import the Zen Cart order by manually creating a
myriad of different products and BoMs for each particular order raised in Zen
Cart - this seems a hacky way to do things. If I've articulated my problem
correctly - can anyone suggest how best to proceed?
