no, I didn't try. in my opinion, it seems there is too much risks to use a module as base_contact that don't work alone : what can we expect in future updates of openerp? Bugs can be fixed, but the module can be abandoned as well. and in the bug report (launchpad), the bug is still on the state "whishlist", so I don't have much hope about a solution at short term. thks anyway for the help
