Dia must be use to create only prototypes.
Yes, you can even develop simple addons, but it's not supposed to be a RAD.

What we can see in the various videos is just marketing.

Regarding documentation, we have to keep in mind that we are a community.
At the moment everyone rants about the lack of docs, but no one starts writing 
good docs (me included) :-(

thankfully, we have plenty of good examples. just have a look at the addons and 
extra addons.

grep is our friend.

The big problem is that this is not enough.
For example:
what's the meaning of 6,4 and 0 in "some_m2m_field: [(6,0,[1])]"?

searching docs and memento there's no reference to that params.
I found something on a google's cached page of the developers book.

And what about the very useful <delete> tag?
Nothing inside docs, just one example somewhere i cannot remember now.

Luckily, OpenERP is open source and we can search its code.
Otherwise no one could write a line.
