@gdutoit,
You are absolutely right, and this is one of the things that makes OpenERP integration a real challenge and not as cheap as we and users would like. I hope there will be convergence toward stronger conventions by the new stable versions. But I should say I'm afraid to see OpenERP S.A. doesn't seem to take that as seriously as they should (they seem to believe they achieve some kind of stability that would justify they make little changes; I rather think they should keep improving very quickly to become something more than a niche product for an elite that would make it work whatever it takes). It's what makes a framework super easy to get started such as with Rails or very hard like with OpenERP (notice it could be much worse in the ERP field though and that's what's makes OpenERP still interesting in some cases nonetheless). ------------------------ Raphaël Valyi CEO and OpenERP consultant at http://www.akretion.com -------------------- m2f -------------------- -- http://www.openobject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=60601#60601 -------------------- m2f --------------------
