I'd like to port TinyOS to a TI/ChipCon CC2420 Development Board (and a custom board that has the same I/O map as the CC2420DB). I've looked at the platform/hardware.h file for micaz, and it looks as though it should be fairly easy to change the IO MAP. As for hardware issues, the uC crystal has to change, and the 32KHz crystal needs to be added. The only part that I'm not sure how to deal with is the lack of external serial flash, and serial id components on the CC2420DB. What is the function of these two devices with respect to TinyOS, and/or XMESH? Could the functionality be implemented in ATMega flash or eeprom? Could it be omitted? What uses them?
