They use the same microcontroller as the Mica2 (AtMega128), and the Zigbee
version uses the same radio transciever as the MicaZ (CC2420, wired slightly
differently). I haven't tried anything complicated with them but all of the
simple test programs work without modification. The radio range is not great
but that's a hardware issue.
