I have setup a watchdog timer to handle a task that occasionally freezes up the MSP430. I know that this is a temporary fix, but for the time being and for future reference, let me pose the following issue. I set the timer to expire off of the ACLK after 32768 counts and everything works as planned, where if I reset the timer the watchdog doesn't go off and if the application freezes the mote resets (I see the leds cycle through as usual). However, the mote does not reset to a state that I can send it messages, it appears to be frozen. I have noticed a similar thing when I insert batteries sometimes. Any known reason for this??
