In TinyOS 1.x for msp430 platforms, the maximum millisecond timer
value is 2^27-1 milliseconds which is 1.5 days.

The reason the maximum time is not larger is because the timer is
mapped directly down to a 32khz clock, which is 32 (2^5) times faster
than milliseconds. In TinyOS 2.x, on the other hand, the mapping down
to the 32khz clock is done more precisely -- giving the full 32-bits
in the millisecond timer.

Hi all,

I have a question about timers in nesC: what is the maximum value allowed to
set a timer??

Thank you very much,

Sara.
