The Oscilloscope demo app uses GenericComm.
My code bolus also uses GC to talk to both radio and UART:

I think TOSBase doesn't use GC because it includes the UART
code and trips over itself. I believe it can only transport
one message at a time and is thus slower than doing the
lower-level stuff that TOSBase does.
I never really figured out what's the difference with GCPromiscuous...
