I am curious with this question too. I don't think they are using S-MAC as default (which is developed by UCLA). Mica family might use B-Mac as I know.

To Moteiv:  what MAC protocol is used in TMote Sky by default? does it reliable re-transmit if failed by default?

I think the tinyos-1.1.10 uses simply CSMA not even with collision detection. In fact with wireless, collision detection is difficult due to hidden and exposed station problems. The newer versions of tinyos-1.x (.15 onwards) uses something called B-Mac and S-Mac or at least thats what is proposed to be used. You may want to google these terms to see how they operate or read the following article http://www.isi.edu/ilense/macss/

Hi all,

Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. PC-to-Phone calls for ridiculously low rates.
