I currently thinking about using TinyOS in a commercial project, which I
am the responsible (software) design engineer.

But there is one information I was able to obtain:
What is the memory footprint of a typical tiny-os application?

Well, I know, this is hard to say, as it depends on several features
"used", but a rough figure would be really useful.
(It is planned to use a AtMeag48, with 4k of Flash)
The main questionis, will this be enough memory.

The key data of the project might help you to understand my requirements
a little more: It is a very enegy constrained remote
event detector, which will only have to transmit data once in a while
(maybe once a month). Multi-Hop is required, there is no unconstrained
node and the "mode of communication" is basically "broadcast"
Transeceiver will be a CC1100.
WSN MAC Protocol *maybe* S-MAC, BMAC, or some IEE 802.15.4 orientated
"homebrewn" one. (or some protocol I did not discover yet...)

Is there a list of typical components and there memory usages?

Thank you for your help!

Best regards,
Tobias
