Found it. The problem was in the BlackbookFullConnectM.nc module, outside of the actual Blackbook5 core. The payload of the TOS_Msg that contained the retrieved dictionary value was being automatically erased.
I'm having trouble uploading files to CVS right now, but the BlackbookFullConnectM.nc patch is attached.
