versions of cygwin, tinyos etc are you using?
I was trying out the new cygwin environment and the jan2005
(tinyos-1.1.10) build.

Hi,
I got the same problem before. You can try this
$ MIB510=/dev/ttyS0 make mica2 install mib510
At least, it works so fine for me under WindowXP/Cgywin and TinyOS
1.1.15.
