Hello,

After several unsuccessful tries of installing TinyOS 2.0 on PC w/ windows XP and Cygwin I need some help. Have followed the steps from tinyos.net. It appeared that all rpm's were installed fairly smoothly after heavy use of --ignoreos, but. When doing a tos- check-env, following error is presented: bash: /usr/bin/tos-check- env: usr/bin/perl: bad interpreter: No such file or directory.
Have tried with both AVR and MSP430 tools.
Are very unsure of the environmental variables, how to accurate set them (no UNIX experience).

Should there be a tools folder located in opt/tinyos-2.x?

It looks like your cygwin does not have perl, or there is something wrong with its perl. The first line of tos-check-env should be

#!/usr/bin/perl

This web page describes what that means (at the end):
