the point is that there're some issues between the J2SE and J2ME implementations,
that will make this not as simple.. i.e no cloneable interface exists in ME, among other details. 
 
It will have to be hacked a bit.

I have not tried J2ME, but for instance, you can run SerialForwarder
with the -no-gui option to fully disable its graphical interface.
