MIB510 connects directly to RS232 serial port of the PC.
MIB600 connects to your LAN and then in turn to your PC via TCP/IP connection.
This can then be accessed from anywhere in the network. The MIB600 is ideal for
remote locations, where you can not put a dedicated PC or don't want to put a
PC. It is also ideal if you want to communicate with your wireless sensor
network over IP network.

You can assign an IP address to the MIB600 using Lantronix Device installer (PC
based utility).

Subject: [Tinyos-help] MIB600 and MIB510

Hi!

We want to buy either MIB600 or MIB510 but not both!

So could somebody tell if there are disadvantages to having one and missing the
other.

i saw that to install on the mote using MIB510:we just
need: make micaz intall,<port e.g ttyS> but how is it for MIB600, there have
been a post tellin g that it´s somthing like: make micaz install eprb,<IP
adress>, but how to configure the Ip adress??

Thank you for helping.
