The block diagram shows UART/2, I2C/2, ADC/6, and GPIO/4. However the schematic shows the expansion connectors also have AVCC, Gnd, Reset, and an ExtInt which adds up to 18 contacts on 16 pins. So it appears that two of the GPIO's are multiplexed in some un-specified way with two ADC's. Are you counting the JTAG and unpopulated sensors?
