search your system for "cygwin1.dll" and make sure it's directory
is in the execution PATH variable you are using, mine is e.g.:

  vincent:~ [267] type cygwin1.dll
    cygwin1.dll is /usr/bin/cygwin1.dll
  vincent:~ [268] echo $PATH
    /cygdrive/c/JAVA/j2sdk1.4.2_04/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/us....
                                                      ^^^^^^^^^

HI there,

When we tried to run the autorun programme as mentioned in TinyOS tutorial, it gave us ‘the application has failed to start because cygwin1.dll was not found, re-installing the application may fix this problem’. We reinstalled the cgywin. The error still remains. Is there anyone can give us some ideas?

Many thanks

Cheers,

Mengjie
