I believe this is a common question.
There is a manual out there for nesC "TinyOS Programming" by Philip Levis. I 
don't know
the link offhand, but Google will find it for you.

Very polite of you. <hyperbole> There are usually about four comments in each

'$Id', the four page copyright notice, three words describing what the file 
does, and a
commented out bit of code with no note as to why. </hyperbole>

I find myself spending long periods of time figuring out what was intended to 
happen in
the code. The xbow contrib programs are the worst -- full of warnings, no 
explanation of
what constants are defined for, dead variables.

How do I know what a "NBRFLAG_EST_INIT" is for? Why is it four? Why is it 
entered in
hex? If I change it will it have any effect, or will it summon demons through 
the
antenna port?

I guess what I'm saying is: "I feel your pain."
