Hi Mat, This suggestion is a long way from solving your problem, but it may help. A way around your problem may be to simply wire the output of your PIR sensor to an analogue input assuming that you are already able to read this. Check that the output of the PIR is within voltage range of the ADC's input, and if it is it will work. It will be obvious from the data whether the PIR is detected motion or not. If you eventually export your data to a spreadsheet then you can easily add an "=IF(less than 50%, FALSE, TRUE)" or something. That way you will not have to do any serious nesC programming. However, you probably want to know if people have moved _since_ the last sample and not whether they are moving at the moment of this particular sample. In this case you will need to learn nesC programming and employ interrupts to catch the output if the PIR detects motion. >From Stacy.
