In order to detect a packet, the radio must be in Rx mode. The same goes
for clear channel assessment indication of whether or not a transmission is
taking place on the channel. According to the CC2420 datasheet, the radio
must be in Rx mode for a minimum of 8 symbol periods (~128 us) before the
CCA pin is valid.

Subject: [Tinyos-help] Tmote Power Conssumption RX mode?

Hello,
I would like to know if when the Tmote has the Radio and Oscillator on
(365uA) is able to listen the preamble of a packet and start reciving it
(19.7mA); or the CC2420 needs to be at Reciving stage (19.7mA) in order to
listen a packet.
Thanks,
Joan
