Yes, it is possible to control the sampling rate of MTS420 in the
firmware code. How you do it, depends on the application you are using.
In Crossbow apps, there is a variable called "XSENSOR_SAMPLE_RATE" that
controls the sampling rate of the sensors.
Similarly, you can disable the GPS part of the MTS420. Please look at
the MTS400 code for reference.

1)i am working with crossbow motes micaz and mts420 sensors.
currently i am sampling the sensor data at the rate of 1sample in 11
seconds.
i want to change it to 1 sample in 10 minutes.
can you please tell me if it can be done or not if yes then how.
 
2)i am using mts420 that has got gps too.but i do not want to use gps
now.so can i remove mts from sampling gps data by changing the
application code or not.
 
i will be thankful to you for your suggestion.
