I am trying to implement a simple wireless control network using the Mica2dot(433mhz) and the MIB510 base board. I have Interfaced the motes to Matlab via a serial connection, through the Serial Forwarder, using Kamins Matlab functions and TinyOs 1.1.
The problem is that the return delay of the feedback system is greater than 200ms which is much too slow for my application. I am wondering if anybody knows approximately the time it takes for data transmission between Mat lab, the serial forwarder and the Mica2dot, for a packet of 29 bytes. Any previous experiences with similar setups would be of great help. I need to get reduce the delay by at least a half.
