Hi,
I use Fedora Core 7 and Ubuntu too.
For Fedora 7 follow these steps:
1. Download the RPM packages
2. Install the Sun JVM
3. Select the Sun JVM using update-alternative --config java
4. Install all the RPM packages you downloaded before
5. Set the environment variables editing your .bashrc file
6. Enjoy!
