Friends, I had some serious problem in the installation of tinyos 1.1.0. in Fedora Core 6. I am able to install all the necessary tools (avarice, avr-binutils etc.) as described on the official website of tinyos (http://www.tinyos.net/tinyos-1.x/doc/install.html#linux) for installing tinyos1.1.0. But when I tried to install "tinyos-1.1.0-1.noarch.rpm", it come up with the following error message.
-- /etc/profile.d/tinyos.sh: line 14: /usr/local/bin/locate-jre: Argument list too long ... /TINYOSDIR/tinyos-1.x/tools/java/net tail: cannot open `+2' for reading: No such file or directory tail: cannot open `+2' for reading: No such file or directory make[1]: Entering directory `/TINYOSDIR/tinyos-1.x/tools/java/net/tinyos' ... /TINYOSDIR/tinyos-1.x/tools/java/net/tinyos make[1]: Leaving directory `/TINYOSDIR/tinyos-1.x/tools/java/net/tinyos' -- It did not look much serious problem but when I rebooted the system, it was in all sorts of problem and refused to boot. In a tutorial on the web, "http://enl.usc.edu/~jpaek/tinyos-1-install.html", the author says: "do not install the old tinyos-1.1.0 rpm since this will automatically try to install old tools, and mess up your system". Following the suggested guidelines, I also downloaded the source code file "tinyos-1.1.0.tar" and tried to install it through "make" and then "make install", but it did not work as well. Just to remind that I m using FC6, I will be thankful, if anybody can help me. Regards, saleem
