There are two multihop collection layers in 2.x; CTP and MLQI. CTP is
cross-platform and has generally superior performance (efficiency,
delivery) to MLQI, but requires more RAM and code space. MLQI is much
lighter weight, but only works on CC2420 platforms (tmote, micaz) and
can perform badly in some environments.
