You can create a network share on either the XP or Ubuntu side and use that to share files.
It's probably easiest to share a directory from the Windows side and connect to it from Ubuntu. In Windows, just right click the folder and select Share. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MountWindowsSharesPermanently should tell you how to connect to it from Ubuntu. I have installed XubunTOS 2.0 following: http://sing.stanford.edu/klueska/installing_xubuntos_vm.html The question is: I have some data generated under WinXP. How can I port this data to XubunTOS? one way is: I can copy the data to USB, and access USB under XubunTOS. But this seems clumzy. Is there a way that I can copy the data to XubunTOS directly? Thanks. ________________________________ Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage. <http://us.rd.yahoo.com/evt=51438/*http:/www.yahoo.com/r/hs>
