The problem was because I didn't cvs update properly. The sources.list
line for the Ubuntu installer is no longer in my sources.list, to
prevent upgrade breakage.

I've never had Debian unstable on my machine. Too unstable ;-)
Although I understand that Ubuntu grabs packages from Debian unstable
and then they do their own QA.

Debian does want to upgrade avr-libc (it has a newer version in it's
repo than the one installed from tiny-os Ubuntu repo), but I've placed
that package on hold, to prevent breakage.

Or, is it safe to upgrade to the latest Ubuntu versions (on the tinyos
repo), and also allow Debian to upgrade avr-libc if it has newer
versions (under Testing/Lenny) than the tinyos repo?

David.
