The MTS3xx uses CDSe photocell, which is most sensitive at ~690nm light wavelength. The MTS4xx however uses Taos digital light sensor with a operating range of 400-1000nm wavelength and hence more accurate. Hence the light sensor on MTS3xx is used for measuring bright vs. dark, where as the light sensor on MTS4xx is used for measuring the actual light intensity. I hope that helps, Giri

I have started working with MTS400CA just recently. Can anybody tell me the difference between 'light sensing' of MTS310CA and 'ambient light sensing' of MTS400CA ? Another thing, while running 'OscilloscopeRF', i am always getting sensor reading between 340 to 380. But i expected some high values as well(due to 16 bit ADC data) when exposed to light source. bye, shafique __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
