Hello guys,
Has anyone any experience with accelerometers and the microcontroller
ATMega128L (Mica2 and Mica2Dot)? I've just hooked up an Analog Devices ADXL330
acc with the dot one (using single-ended mode) but the noise that I've been
seeing, even in static testings (tilting), just disrupt my whole measurement.
Although the resolution of 10 bits out of 3,3V (VReg) should give me resolution
of around 3mV/bit, I have also taken analog measurements, but my digital values
are just not keeping the same pace ((=Vout/Vref)*2^10). Sampling frequency is
at around 33Hz (using prescaler freq of 450k). Output HW low pass filtering is
set to a cut off freq of 500Hz.
By using diff mode should theoretically lessen the noise. But has anyone
implemented digital filtering onboard before, that could give useful tips?
Cheers,
Edgar
