To use SPI mode you need three or four pins of microcontroller and tmote does
not have them in the expansion connector. For more information you can see in

Is it possible to use the spi port when the radio is off? I would like to
connect an external device which has an spi interface also, to the spi
interface of the tmote, but I am not sure if this is possible.
