Hi, Thanks for the help. I've solved the problem by the not so elegant but effective technique of backing up my data and reinstalling boomerang :).
Anyways, I tried solving the issue and would like to point out a couple of things: - Cygwin uses COM* naming. /dev/tty* would be used on unix. - I don't think there was an error due to the high COM numbers because I was still able to program the mote. - The java file that Urs attached did not give any error on my system.
