You should have a file named .bashrc in your cygwin home directory not in the windows home directory ;) This should be something like /home/jfell from your cygwin shell. Try a ls -a and you should see it. > However, now I am getting this error when I launch the Cygwin Bash > Shell: > > bash: /usr/local/bin/locate-jre: No such file or directory I do not think that this error has anything to do with the file in your windows home directory.
