Just install the new JDK and make sure you have
your paths and classpaths set to point to it.
On Widows I put all my java's in C:/Java, but you
have to pay careful attention to the Custom install
options when doing both JDK and JRE. Class files are
supposed to be forward compatible so it should all
justWork(TM).
