I could really use some help on this. We had a graduate student
perform some work for us a few years ago involving the Mica2 node and
custom chemical sensors. He left us with his code all concatenated
together and almost no documentation. Before we get started trying to
break the one code file up into the appropriate files necessary, my
lab is trying to just get a few nodes to work with Surge so we can be
sure things are working properly.
The main computer is running TinyOS in a virtual machine (the large
ISO image of it - I believe it is actually Ubuntu with TinyOS
inside). We have a MIB510 and MIB520 with usb to serial and usb to
usb connectors respectively (so we have options). All of our nodes
are Mica2 and none have his firmware installed on them; in fact, I
opened a new pair of nodes just for this demo.
Let me start off by saying I don't know how to poll /tty/USBx to
determine which USB port shows the MIB520 attached. Some help on
determining that would be of great help too.
The following errors are logged in the attached text file.
As per the instructions, we downloaded and used the ISO image of
TinyOS hoping to reduce problems, but instead, TOSCHECK reports that
most things are out of date or not found in the system on a fresh
installation! Do you all have any plans to fix this in a future
version of the TinyOS file?
