AUTOCRC is simply a field name within one of the registers on the CC2420 (specifically, it represents bit 5 of MDMCTRL0). It is therefore not valid for other radio types. If you are using another radio and wish to disable the CRC you will need to read the datasheet of that specific radio to find out which bit(s), in which register, to manipulate.
