Hi,

I am using TinyOS-2.0.2, Cygwin environment, and I am on an important
juncture of the project where I need to know answers to the following
questions from the experts.

1) I am about to add an external FLASH to my platform, as my system
is quite similar to MicaZ so I am planning to use AT45DB041x. I found
that AT45DB041B is no longer available and we can only get AT45DB041D,
but then I did some search and I found that there have been some issues
using this version of AT45Db Flash like the following thread.

http://mail.millennium.berkeley.edu/pipermail/tinyos-devel/2008-March/00
2583.html

Can anyone tell me if this FLASH has been fixed or is it still an issue?
I found a solution at:

http://mail.millennium.berkeley.edu/pipermail/tinyos-help/2008-January/0
30255.html

Has the TinyOS CORE or any other person tested this fix given at the
above thread????

2) I just have 4KB of RAM on atmega128, but after adding external
FLASH, will I be able to test DELUGE, or do we need a bigger RAM to run
the program initially. I know that FLASH is needed to store the binary
image and then burn it into ROM. But for even having a program on the
REMOTE NODES that can support DELUGE, do I need a bigger RAM on the
microcontroller?????????

3) This brings me to my last important question about the
microcontroller..... I saw Atm1281 being added to the CVS some time ago,
I am currently planning to use Atmega128, BUTTTTTT can we use atm1281???
Long story short, is atm1281 COMPLETELY SUPPORTED in TinyOS or is it
still in development stage??? Can I use atm1281 in my new hardware
design or there are still issues with it???

Thanks a lot for all the support the community offers.

Cheers,

Varun
