Hi all,
hello Tal!

I've read some discussions here on the list about TOSSIM and RSSI. As I
understood, from noise is subtracted from the arrived signal with
constant power (gain) and then is decided (according to CPM), whether
the signal is passed or not.

I've changed RssiSample from Tutorial so that I can use it with TOSSIM.
All RSSI what I receive are just the same gains from built links. To get
RSSI I've used TossimPacket.strength(). And I thought that the constant
value of gain is already altered with the noise before the message is
passed on.

Tal wrote at the begin of this year about the simulation of signal's
power, but there is still no files in contrib/cornell. Are they
somewhere else?

The main question is why the function checkReceive() in CpmModelC.nc
that has access to the signal power and the noise doesn't alter the
signal strength (RSSI) and only pass the difference (msg->power - noise)
to shouldReceive()? Is it totally wrong to consider this as strength/RSSI?

Thanks,
Andrey
