Hi David,

Did this mote ever work? Does 'motelist' recognize the mote? Does it charge?

If programming works for all your motes except this one, then you 
probably have faulty hardware. If motelist recognizes the mote, then the 
error is likely between the USB-serial converter chip and the 
microcontroller (even though if the mote doesn't seem to react at all, 
maybe there is another problem, too).

We had a faulty Tmote Sky (not invent) with a similar behavior. We 
eventually traced the error back to a broken link on the PCB (probably 
due to stress).

If you have a JTAG kit, you could open the package and try to program 
the mote inside over JTAG to see whether the MCU still works.
