Hello all,

First time posting-I'm not positive this is the right blog for my purposes,
but I am trying to write a program for several TMotes of the MoteIV model.
This model is no longer supported by the company that bought out the
original designer and so they suggested I try this blog.

I am working on a college project for a wireless networking course. My idea
is a system in which the TMotes set up an ad hoc network where they
continuously sleep until an event (loud bang/noise) triggers them to "wake
up." Upon waking up they are to record the decibel sound level and relay
this information back to a sync which will use the known locations of the
sensors, time stamps, and the speed of sound to triangulate the location of
the event as well as its original decibel level such that probabilistic
identification can be approximated.

My problem is this, I have limited programming abilities and have no idea
where to even begin in programming the TMotes-I was able to load and run the
three preprogrammed codes-Delta, Ditto, and Oscilloscope. However, I have
no idea where to begin for writing my own code-as I said this is a college
project and I am certainly not asking for someone to do the work for me, but
I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction such as a good
book, web site, video, etc. on how to go about this project-thanks so much!
