The thingie you have linked is just the transducer itself,
like a microphone or speaker, which requires some electronics
to do anything useful. What you probably want is this whole unit:

and you might go directly to the parallax.com site to
get more interfacing information. The output is not analog.
It appears to require a trigger signal followed by a listen
period using a timer.

You might also want to look at the Sharp IR range sensors:
     http://www.acroname.com/robotics/info/articles/sharp/sharp.html
They put out an analog voltage that is (sort of) relative
to distance.
