Hi, The ReadRSSI interface in CC2420ControlC is for reading the current power level at the receiver and mostly measures the background noise (useful, for instance, to calculate the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR)).
The RSSI value with which a packet has been received is put in a special field of that packet. You can read this value with the method getRSSI(message_t* msg) method provided by the interface CC2420Packet. This interface is provided by the component CC2420PacketC.
