Hi David,

I use a high-precision 1 Ohm or 10 Ohm resistor connected in series
between the mote and a laboratory power supply set to 3V. I then measure
the voltage over the resistor with a digital oscilloscope. This allows
me to sample the power consumption at a high frequency and thus
distinguish between different phases of operation (radio turning on vs.
listening vs. actually sending data).

Cheers,
Urs
