Unfortunately I have no further information. SerialForwarder uses
what appears to be an undocumented format to discuss things with
it's clients. It seems to expect to send or get a 'T' when a
connection is made, but I don't know what else. Let the code
be your documentation...

The easiest way to write a new program to communicate with SF
would be to use java and the same underlying classes as Listen
or any of the other demo clients. If you want to use some other
language there may be examples hiding under the tools tree.
Otherwise you'll need to go back to the java source with your
archaeological helmet and shovel.
