Hello guys I posted about 4 times regarding the SPI matter, without a reply.
But I have found out about issue and I'm posting my findings here for the use of anybody else (with some help from Alfonso Cardell, too). USART0/SPI mode is POSSIBLE on U2. But, radio has to be switched off (ie. OFF P4.2/RADIO_CS). UCLK0 and SIMO0 can be connected on U2 pin 6 and 8 (P3.3 and P3.1 on the MSP). A separate CS pin has to be defined by the user separately (eg. pin 7 on U2 extension by closing the R16 jumper with a 0 Ohm resistor). Assumptions: No transmission from the slave (ie. the devices connected on the U2 SPI), hence only 3 pins are required; TelosB is the master; Radio is nor required during sending data to the slave device. Testing: I am carrying out tests at the moment. Further info: If someone wishes for info, contact me after about 2 weeks. I should have a working SPI bus (not really, since it's only one device :)!) by that time. Rgds CL
