Sorry at my first message something went wrong with the blanks. So I will post
the message again for better readings:
I am new to tinyos motes development and have some questions on it. I hope you
can give me same answers or advice.
I plan to use two sensor motes for my project. Therefore I will use Iris
motes. At the first mote I will use the MTS420 sensorboard with the GPS
receiver. On the other mote I will use the MDA300 board with a external sensor
connected to the A/D converter of the board.
I plan to use the motes with a star topology. So the two Motes communicate
directly to the MIB520 Gateway. Now I am not sure how I can realizes this
situation. As far as I can see the communication can be a problem because it is
possible that both motes sends messages at the same time. How can I handle this
problem? I think using different radio frequencies is not the answer. Because
the xsniffer application on the MIB520 can only listen to one radio channel. Is
this right?
Can somebody give me some advice?
Additionally I have a question to the MDA300 board. On this board there are 2
connectors. First one of course is to connect the board to the iris mote. Is it
possible to use the second connector on the other side of the board to use the
mts420 sensorboard at the same mote? I did not found any information on the
data-sheets. And at the moment I do not have the boards yet.
